Health Insurance

Students from the HafenCitty Universität (HCU) must have a public or private health insurance as well as a long-term care insurance. Without the relevant evidence of insurance coverage, an enrolment at German higher education institutions is not permitted. Please note that a membership confirmation or a copy of the health insurance card does not provide sufficient evidence.

If your insurance agreement changes during your studies at HCU please submit a current evidence to the Student Service Center immediately.

Please note that the HCU will be informed by your health insurance if you have failed to meet your insurance obligations (for example outstanding contributions) and therefore you do not have valid health insurance coverage or if you change your health insurance. If you do not immediately submit a proof to the Student Service Center that your insurance coverage has been restored, you will be de-registered.
