General Academic Advising

Questions regarding the curriculum and the organization of the program can be directed to the SKU department coordinator, Cristina de la Cruz.

Academic Advising

The academic advising office is available to all students who have specific questions or concerns, such as those related to their academic progress, doubts about their choice of major, or specific questions about career prospects. The office also handles mandatory counseling for students whose studies have taken too long. This counseling is provided by Prof. Thomas Krüger.

Examination Committee

The Examination Board organizes the examinations for the degree programs, including establishing the procedures for registering for exams. It ensures compliance with the provisions of the examination regulations. The Examination Board decides on specific individual cases upon request in cases of doubt or hardship, within the framework of legal requirements, particularly the provisions set forth in the academic and examination regulations.
For the following matters, please contact the examination committee member for your degree program directly:

  • Recognition of Academic Work and Exams
  • Request for a Supplementary Exam
  • Appointment of an External Examiner for Your Thesis Defense
  • Compensation for Disadvantages
  • Cases of Doubt and Hardship

Student Council

The Student Council is the student representative body for urban planning at HCU.

BAFÖG

The BAFÖG representative at HCU for the Urban Planning program is Prof. Dr. Thomas Krüger.

To obtain the certificate required under §48 BAFÖG, you will need the form as well as a current transcript of your academic record. Please print the transcript yourself via your ahoi account. Please submit the documents to Susanne Stellwagen at the Registrar’s Office (Room 4.125).
