Whether for the website, for inquiries from politics and the media or for reports to third-party funders: data on research activities is frequently needed at a university. HafenCity University Hamburg (HCU) has launched a Current Research Information System (CRIS) on December 1, 2023 to collect this data in a central place and use it for other internal and external purposes.
In addition to improving the visibility and increasing the transparency of research activities, the aims of the FIS are to ensure the quality of the data and to reduce the workload of researchers and research administration by avoiding redundant data storage.
The university is planning to introduce a research portal in March 2025 in order to make research activities centrally visible to the public and thus increase visibility and support networking. The FIS will provide the data for this.
HCU researchers can find access information and further information under HCU intern.
