DAAD Conference Travel Programme
Funded by the Federal Foreign Office, this programme supports active participation in international academic congresses and conferences abroad (on-site and online).

DAAD Lecture Travel Programme
Funded by the Federal Foreign Office, this programme supports lecture visits by German academics abroad outside the framework of congresses and conferences.


Teaching Mobility:

DAAD Visiting Lecturers Programme (Long- and Short-Term Teaching Assignments)
This programme supports teaching staff from German higher education institutions by offering opportunities to teach at universities abroad for several weeks or months and to further develop their research.


Research Stays & Scholarships:

Fulbright Commission: USA Scholarships for Doctoral Candidates
This programme supports doctoral candidates through a four- to six-month research grant, enabling them to pursue their doctoral research at a self-selected US university or another academic institution.


Programmes for Specific Target Groups:

Johann Gottfried Herder Programme for Retired Academic Staff at German Higher Education Institutions
This programme supports retired academic staff from German higher education institutions through a visiting professorship at a higher education institution abroad, usually for at least one semester.

WWOOF – World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms

WWOOF arranges stays on organic farms worldwide, providing opportunities for cultural exchange and hands-on experience. Participation is self-funded.
