Welcome to REAP Research Group
Resource Efficiency in Architecture and Planning (REAP) was the first interdisciplinary research group formed at the HafenCity University by members of different subject areas (Architecture, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Landscape Planning, Building Physics, Building Materials Technology, Building Construction, Acoustics, Technical Urban Infrastructure Systems, Environmental Planning and Planning Law). The REAP-group specialises in addressing the current and future issues facing our towns and cities.
The REAP-group aims to advance research and teaching in resource efficient technology and management in the building and urban technical services sectors. Its primary focus is on promoting the diffusion of existing environmental building and urban services technologies, bringing them from the shelf into the world. This involves integrating novel environmental technology and management strategies into architectural and urban design while understanding and addressing barriers to implementation.
