Abstract

This project funded by the EU within the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) Program, started in June 2009 and will be running  for 3 years.  It is coordinated by the University of Rome "Tor Vergata“ and involves 9 universities of different EU countries and 4 technological and market players.

The aim of the project is to create a common stream for energy efficient systems in university buildings, through the application of the Energy Performance for Buildings Directive (EPBD). Universities and students are proposed as shining examples for both technical solutions and energy efficient behaviours.

The innovative idea of this project is to involve the students as the main actors of the project, implementing EPA methodologies, working and interacting together with professors and technicians. To act on students moreover means to act on closest future market players and most convincing actors in diffusion of public opinions.
