
[The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is the worldwide valid identification number for monographic publications. It uniquely identifies products such as printed books, e-books, or maps. (see ISBN-Agentur in German)
Please send an e-mail to digitaledienste(at)hcu-hamburg.de with the following details:
- Name, organizational unit of the HCU, address
- Name of authors
- Title of the publication
- planned publication date.
You will receive an ISBN from us afterwards.
This service is free of charge.However, by submitting an ISBN, you are required to submit five deposit copies. The library thus assumes the legal obligation to submit deposit two copies to the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek, one copy to the Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Hamburg and one copy to the Bavarian State Library. One copy is intended for the HCU library to be loaned.
