Verbund aus HCU, TUHH und UHH
Das Projekt wird von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) gefördert und von der HafenCity Universität Hamburg (HCU) in Kooperation mit der Technischen Universität Hamburg (TUHH) und der Universität Hamburg (UHH) durchgeführt. Es ist die erste Kooperation zwischen den drei Hamburger Universitäten im Rahmen eines Graduiertenkollegs.
Fokus auf gebaute Umwelt und transformative Herausforderungen
Ziel des Graduiertenkollegs ist es, die Handlungsfähigkeit von Expert:innen im Bereich der gebauten Umwelt angesichts der drängenden Herausforderungen eines transformativen Wandels zu untersuchen. Die Gruppe hat ein stark interdisziplinäres und internationales Profil.
Doktorand:innen und Postdoktorand:innen aus den Sozialwissenschaften und den Disziplinen der gebauten Umwelt werden Labore, Architekturen und Infrastrukturen in verschiedenen Kontexten rund um den Globus erforschen und untersuchen, wie sie als Schlüsselorte, Objekte und Vehikel für die Gestaltung der urbanen Zukunft dienen.

Beteiligte Forschende an der HCU sind Prof. Dr. Monika Grubbauer (Sprecherin), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Annette Bögle, Prof. Dott. Arch. Paolo Fusi, Prof. Dr. Gernot Grabher, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gesa Kapteina und Dr. Joachim Thiel. Anna-Lena Krüger hat die Koordination übernommen.

DFG Research Training Group "Urban future-making" started in Hamburg
The research training group "Urban future-making: Professional agency across time and scale" officially started its work on April 1 with twelve PhD students and three postdoctoral researchers. The RTG is based at HCU.
Collaboration of HCU, TUHH and UHH
The project is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and carried out by HafenCity University Hamburg (HCU) in cooperation with Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) and the University of Hamburg (UHH). It is the first cooperation within the framework of a research training group between the three universities.
Focus on built environment and transformative challenges
The aim of the research training group is to investigate the agency of experts in the built environment in the face of pressing challenges of transformative change. The group has a strong interdisciplinary and international profile.
Doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from the social sciences and built environment disciplines will explore laboratories, architectures, and infrastructures in different contexts around the globe and how they serve as key sites, objects, and vehicles for shaping urban futures.
