Re-Registration Periods

 

The re-registration periods are specified by the Executive Board of the HCU.

Re-registration is possible

until 1. October of the calendar year (inclusive) for the winter semester

or

1. April of the calendar year (inclusive) for the summer semester.

 

 

 

Students re-register through full, on-time payment of the semester contribution.

Please note: If the semester contribution is not paid in-full by the re-registration deadline, you will automatically be considered in the belated re-registration.

The semester contribution consists of several parts and must be paid in-full to the bank account of the HCU as specified in the semester contribution notification.

 

 

 

 

Applications ( e.g. for a vacation (sabbatical semester) or part time studies) for the following semester must be submitted by the re-registration deadline. Please note that applications sent via email will not be accepted.

Attention:

If there are outstanding fees, the re-registratin is not possible until the fees are paid. This includes library and other administrative fees.

The compliance of the re-registration deadline is based on the value date of the semester contribution on the bank account of the HCU.

The Student Administration will provide each student the semester contribution notification in their ahoi-account.

Notes:

If the re-registration deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday or German-regional or German-national legal holiday, the deadline for re-registration ends on the next business day.

Example 1:

If 1. October is a Saturday, the following Monday (3. October) would be the new at due date, however, 3. October is German-national legal holiday. Consequently, the new due date for receipt of payment is now 4. October.

Example 2:

If 1. October is a Sunday, the following Monday (2. October) is the new due date. Payments reiceived on 4. October are belated.

The above weekends and legal holiday rule is also used when determining compliance for the belated re-registration deadlines.

All re-registrations after the deadline of the re-registration are belated. Consequently, a fee for belated re-registration will be charged. (§ 1 para. 1 in conjunction with No. 3 of the appendix to statutes of fees of the HCU)

 

 

 

 

Belated re-registration is divided in three belated re-registration periods.

 

The first belated re-registration period

Summer Semester: 2. April - 20. April

Winter Semester: 2. October - 20. October

A first reminder is sent to the ahoi-account of each student, including notification of the outstanding amount.

 

The second belated re-registration period

Summer Semester: 21. April - 30. April

Winter Semester: 21. October - 31. October

A second reminder is sent to the ahoi-account of each student, including notification of the outstanding amount.

 

The last belated re-registration period

Summer Semester: 1. Mai - 10. Mai

Winter Semester: 1. November - 10. November

A last reminder is sent to the ahoi-account of each student, including notification of the outstanding amount.

 

The administration fee for the belated re-registartion will be calculated on the basis of receipt of payment of the semester contribution on the account of the HCU.

The administration fees will have the following amount:

re-registration within the first belated re-registration period € 30.00

re-registration within the second belated re-registration period € 50.00

re-registration within the last belated re-registration period € 80.00

The amount and terms of payment of the fee for the belated re-registration will be notified in a separate notification.

You can find the notification after the end of the last belated re-registration period in your ahoi account. The student administration send a email to the HCU-email when the notification is available.

 

If the fee is will not be payed until the payment deadline ends it threatens the exmatriculation

After the last belated re-registration period ends every student who has not paid the semester contribuntion will be exmatriculated.
