This year's international Open Access Week will take place in the week of October 23-29, 2023 under the motto "Community over Commercialization". Numerous institutions and actors worldwide will use this decentralized week of events to disseminate information on the topic of "open access" to scientific results and to draw attention to new trends and developments.
This year's theme encourages a candid conversation about which approaches to open scholarship prioritize the best interests of the public and the academic community—and which do not.
