Perception and communication of climate change and adaptation to the impacts of climate change

Anthropogenic climate change is no longer seen purely as a scientific phenomenon. It has developed into a serious social and political problem. So, it comes hardly as a surprise that various stakeholders perceive, interpret and address the issue of climate change in very different ways.  This is particularly true if one analyzes climate discourses in diverse cultural contexts. The aim of this sub-project is, therefore, to explore the question of how societal groups and local mass media perceive and communicate climate change and the potential need for adaptation to the impacts of climate change in the Baltic Sea region.
