An overview of the most important points
- Reduction in the tuition fees with effect from the 2008/2009 winter semester to €375 per semester.
- The law is not retroactive: For the 2007 summer semester, 2007/08 winter semester and 2008 summer semester, the tuition fees will remain at €500.
- In the future, all students who are liable for payment will receive a notification of fees for each semester.
- With effect from the 2009 summer semester, the tuition fees will be due each semester with the re-registration.
- No exemption from the tuition fees due to outstanding academic achievements. The statute related to the exemption from tuition fees in the version of July 16, 2007 is no longer in force.
- No exemption from tuition fees for students with a child within the standard period of study plus two semesters.
- No exemption from tuition fees for students with a disability or chronic illness within the standard period of study plus two semesters.
- Interim arrangement for the 2008/2009 winter semester for students who were exempted from paying tuition fees for the 2008 summer semester for parenting reasons, chronic illness or a disability.
- Interest-free deferral of tuition fees for students who are entitled to a deferral (WK deferral).
- Interest-free deferral for foreign students (HCU deferral).
