Student Loans
Student loans from the KfW Bank can no longer be applied for with effect from the 2008/09 winter semester. Other payments will also not be made. Students who already have a loan from the KfW Bank will be directly informed by the bank on the further procedure. The current payback deadlines of the KfW (up to the end of the standard period of study plus four semesters) will not be reduced by the new legal situation in spite of the fact that no more payment has been made. The deferral phase and the subsequent repayment phase thus still commence on the dates originally agreed by contract.
