Enrolled students must reregister, up until they have passed their final examinations, within the specified time period in order to continue with their degree course. They can reregister for a course semester, a leave of absence or an internship.

To participate in lectures/seminars etc. and also to sit exams, you must reregister for a course semester

If, due to important reasons, you will be unable to attend at least half of the courses during a semester, then you can apply for a leave of absence

If your examination regulations prescribe an internship, then you may apply for an internship

You can reregister between December
1, 2009 and April 20 (inclusive), 2010 for the summer semester.

You must reregister for each semester in order to be able to continue with your studies at the HCU. The semester levy must, in each case, be paid by the end of the re-registration period, regardless of whether you are reregistering for a course semester, internship or leave of absence.

Please transfer the semester levy with effect from the 2009 summer semester to the following account: 

As soon as the semester levy has been paid into the HafenCity University Hamburg account and assigned to your registration number, the semester documents will be automatically printed out and sent to you.

When you receive your degree certificate, you will be automatically removed from the student register. The certificate relating to your removal from the student register will be sent to you separately. You can specify the date of your removal from the student register yourself within the semester in which you complete your studies by indicating to the front office when you want to receive your degree.

Please remember: Re-registration for the 2010/11 winter semester is possible until October 20, 2010. Please note that the semester levy for winter semester increased to 264.80 Euro, due to a raised contribution of the Studierendenwerk.

If you like to use the public transport semester ticket by October 1, please make sure you will transfer the complete semester levy (and where required the tuition fees) on time.
